We chose “God’s Word” as our first series topic because we believe it is foundational in our relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It speaks of God’s plan for redemption and is crucial for our sanctification. When you are in a dating relationship with someone, communication and trust are key factors that distinguish your romantic relationship from any other. You have to communicate regularly to understand one another and connect emotionally, and you have to be open and honest to trust one another. In our relationship with Christ, we need the same ingredients to fall in love with Him. God communicates with us primarily through His Word, and it is how we learn to trust Him. He tells us about Himself and His amazing plans. He speaks to us personally and specifically. He loves us well with words of admiration, encouragement, and hope. Therefore, we NEED God’s Word. Our spiritual life will starve without it. Are you feeding your relationship with God daily by reading, listening to, meditating on, praying, and obeying the Bible? Read this month’s posts to learn more about God’s Word!

Psalm 119:105 I went for a walk with a friend of mine at night. She was walking behind me, and it was already dark. I was the only one with a flashlight. I had to be strategic and intentional with the light. I had to make sure I had light behind me for her to see where read more

This. Means. War.

Matthew 4:1-11 I raced to the hose, hastily spraying myself with water as my eyes darted everywhere around me. The attack could come from any direction. I begged the water to hurry as I refilled my water gun. I was at war, and I couldn’t be found unprepared. I knew if I read more

Psalm 19 I’m going to tell you girls a secret. I love tacos. Specifically, Taco Bell. It’s cheap, it’s yummy, and it’s tacos. You can’t go wrong. There’s a rumor I once ordered $11+ worth of Taco Bell and consumed it all by myself. I can neither confirm nor deny this, s read more

Spiritual Eyes

Psalm 119:130 I sat on the sidewalk one autumn afternoon drawing chalk rainbows with my 18 month old as the sun kissed our faces. The mailperson stopped to give me a package, and I excitedly ripped it open to find a brand new pair of trendy prescription eyeglasses. One read more

Just a Skeptic

1 Samuel 15:22-23  It was just another Monday morning in my dorm room, except that it wasn’t. I could see the Fall morning light peeping through our 8th story blinds as my roommate woke me up with the blast of her blow dryer. All normal things, except this day was diffe read more
